Installing on MetaTrader 4
Five steps. About five minutes.
For an Expert Advisor with a MetaTrader 4 edition, such as K3Bxn News Scalp. The licence is the one that covers MetaTrader 5: nothing extra to buy.

Download the Expert Advisor
- Sign in and open My account > Licences.
- Press Download on the line marked MT4.
- Open the zip: the Expert Advisor (
.ex4), its set files and the user manual. Read the manual first.

Put the file in MetaTrader
- In MetaTrader 4 choose File > Open Data Folder, then open
MQL4andExperts. - Copy the
.ex4file into that folder. Do not rename it. - Close MetaTrader and start it again: the Expert Advisor appears in the Navigator under Expert Advisors.

Allow the licence check
- Choose Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
- Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add the licensing address shown on your Licences page and in the Expert Advisor's message, exactly as written. Add any other address the user manual lists.
- Press OK. Once per MetaTrader installation. No DLL is used.

Add your trading account number
- On the Licences page, under Add a trading account, enter the login number of the MetaTrader 4 account you will trade on. Choose MetaTrader 4 as the platform.
- You do not type the broker's server: it is filled in the first time the Expert Advisor connects.
- A demo account is added for you by our support team: send a support request with its number and server.

Attach it to its chart
- Open a chart of the instrument the user manual names and drag the Expert Advisor onto it.
- On the Inputs tab press Load and choose the set file, then paste your licence key into Licence Key.
- On the Common tab tick Allow live trading, and switch on the AutoTrading button in the toolbar. Within seconds the licence shows as authorised.
Is it working?

The EA's name at the top right of the chart, its icon bright, the licence authorised.
Trading is switched off: the AutoTrading button, or the tick on the Common tab.

Running it all week. The Expert Advisor trades only while MetaTrader is running and connected. Most traders use a VPS so that it is not interrupted when their own computer is off. Find your VPS
One licence, two platforms
Using MetaTrader 4 and 5 together
You can run the Expert Advisor on a MetaTrader 4 account and on a MetaTrader 5 account with the same licence key, as long as the licence has a place for each account. A MetaTrader 4 set file does not load in MetaTrader 5, or the other way round.

Questions
The Expert Advisor is not in the Navigator. Why?
The file is in the wrong folder, or it is the file for the other platform. Use File > Open Data Folder, then the Experts folder, and restart MetaTrader.
Do I need to allow DLL imports?
No. No DLL is used: only the licensing address has to be allowed, under Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
Does moving to a VPS need a new licence?
No. The licence is tied to your trading account, not the computer. Install the EA there and enter the same key.
Can I run it on a demo account first?
Yes, for six months. Demo accounts have their own allowance and do not use a live place. Our support team adds them: send a support request with the account number and server.
Can I use the same licence on MetaTrader 4 and 5?
Yes, for an Expert Advisor that comes for both, as long as the licence has a place for each account. Use the set files made for each platform.
